Interns goofing off

Informal contacts are the way in which interns use health information in everyday life. They do this when they talk to a roommate about contraception use or speak with a friend about their eating habits. An informal contact can also include situations where an intern gives someone information about campus or community resources.

Interns help their friends when using skills such as active listening and motivational interviewing. All of the skills they develop as interns prove useful in their personal and daily lives.
